Biography: Stephen Cox is among America's most versatile professional racing drivers.
Cox has scored wins and championships in road course racing, endurance sports cars and stock car racing. He has posted victories on both asphalt and dirt ovals. He has raced open wheel and full fender cars, scoring wins in both types.
His resume includes ARCA Trucks, SCCA, Rolex GT, off road Baja Trophy Trucks, Hooters Pro Cup Series stock cars, Super Cup Stock Cars and more.
Mitsubishi USA hired Cox as their test driver for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX after his championship season in GT-2 sportscars.
Cox also has thousands of miles of open desert racing at the highest levels of the sport including two of America's premier professional off road races – the Parker 425 and the Silver State 300.
Boschett Timepieces, McGunegill Engine Performance and Impact Race Products have formed long term relationships with Cox in order to promote their brands.
In between races, Cox is the CEO of Sopwith Motorsports Television Productions. The company provides motorsports programming for national networks including NBC, Discovery, Outdoor Channel, Fox Sports and MavTV.
